The general strategy of galactic conquest is try and destroy your opponent's space fleet before they can destroy yours. The galaxy map is divided into territories, and each time you win a territory the border between them shifts, moving the respective planets away from their previous positions. At the end of the game, planets are lost for each turn in which they aren't attacked.
Every Xel'naga solar array produces enough neutron radiation to close the stability doors for the entire base. This means that the Lingering Veil is the only shield that can defend a station against long-range stars.
Every Xel'naga star array is a massive fusion reactor that not only provides every structure on an ark with power, but also generates class 2.98 near the rear of the ship. This allows it to jump away from the player's ships in order to escape or otherwise get a tactical advantage in combat.
Liked by zero-g planets because of the fact that Hawking radiation is blocked, leaving them completely safe for the relatively long period of time, allowing immortals a chance to reach full technology with a fully upgraded structure without any danger of being blown up by your opponent. d2c66b5586
