A. Sthala Sukta: Three books from the Ârega Âranyaka, each concentrating especially on different types of constructions: Vaastu Shastra (rules determining the arrangement of the various rooms in a house), Pancha Jyoti (lighting and energy), and Pancha Dasa (offices), fire (hotels and restaurants), and pest (cooking) are in this section of the book. The third book devotes itself to an explanation of the 10-fold division of a city into 10 parts, called \"Sthala Sukta\". This explanation is the treatise on astrology referred to as Raja Yogi (literally \"King of Yogis\", i.e., the Vedic astrologers) by the Vaasusastra, which is the predecessor of South Indian Vastu Shastra.[40]
B. Vyayama: These books teach the art of divination by means of various methods. They describe the palmistry, art of reading omens, Voodoo, Eureka palm and so on, obtained by using the tools of this science, as the numberless verses of the Vyayama literature mention the use of various tools in the course of the analysis of birth charts (Vedic astrology) and the art of divination is analogous to that.
Most of the Vastu Shastra books are in Sanskrit language. Its ideas are embodied in design of most of the Indian temples, mosques, public buildings, residential buildings, shops, restaurants, offices and other structures in India. It is based on mathematics and physics.
Building a house in accordance with the golden angles and remaining principles of Vastu Shastra is considered to be a way to attain spiritual wealth, health, happiness and success. Modern architects owe a great deal to this ancient art of architecture.
The Vastu Shastra also reveals sites and situations that should not be built on.[49] For example, the practice of building houses in Vastu Shastra prohibits the location of houses on a mountain or hill, or a water body such as a river, lake or well. d2c66b5586
