Aksing4freeFirst thing I did was to go to settings, and disable the auto download and preload of books from amazonThen I used the acrobat plugin which I set to the lowest possible download speedThen I used the DRM removal service
The service works by letting you specify the items you want removed, and they will do it for youThey then send you a link to download the files (They are zipped up on the site)
Once you download them they are in the calibre library folder, and the DRM is removed.
From there you just have to go in the calibre library select the books you want to import, and that's it.
I used a USB stick (4Gb) to transfer over about 100 books to my nookI have a Kobo, and the DRM is still on the books, so I can't put them on there yet.
I just had to do the same thing. I disabled auto download and preload, and used the acrobat plugin. I was eventually able to find all the books I had converted by doing a search by tags. The books are not free, I still have to buy them through AmazonI will be able to post reviews and what not once I have finished buying them, which would take some time. I would like to hear from anyone who has had the same problem and how they were able to resolve it, and also if anyone has any tips or suggestions for people who have followed the advice in this thread,ThanksLaura
Under plugins click Manage plugins and go to plugins. Click add plugin and follow the prompts. It should ask for the output location and name. I chose the location and name as for the book. It will prompt you to save as with a default name. I chose my own name instead.
Please help me, I have contacted Dell and Microsoft about this, and I think they have just brushed me off. I also need to know if Vista 32 bit is compatible with a 64bit processor. I have a Dell PC that was a gift and my friend is a non technical person. 827ec27edc
